Rhine's
Necklace and Shawl
Materials: 1 package of 3 mm seed beads, thread or bead thread, thin needle.
1. Start by tying off thread. I like to loop it around the first bead I string.
2. Add beads until you get 16.
3. Add 3 more, and go back through the previous 2.
4. Add a bead for space.
5. Continue as shown, working your way with odd numbers until 11 and back down to 3, each with a space bead between.
6. Finish off with 16 and tie off at the first bead you threaded.
The drop and go back method shown above can be used for other ornaments on Rhine. I used it on a hair ornament and a tail ornament.
Shawl:
Materials: Square of cheesecloth, watercolor paints, brushes, water and something to paint on.
1. Lay cheesecloth out flat on your work space.
2. Start painting. I used the colors of the beads and her skin tones as a guide.
3. Allow to dry before draping.
